Sam’s Pampered Paws Terms and Conditions for dog walking, day care visits and animal feeding (V2)
General
All Terms & Conditions will be deemed accepted and agreed by the customer on signing the terms and conditions or by engaging Sam’s Pampered Paws to carry out services on your behalf.
Prior to any agreed services Sam’s Pampered Paws will arrange a meet and greet service with the customer and the animals involved so that we can discuss your specific needs and assess your animals requirements.
Transportation
On occasion we may need to transport your animals (i.e. walks or vets) should you wish to accompany your animal in our vehicle then Sam’s Pampered Paws will not be insured for you and so does not accept any liability for any accident or injury incurred during transportation. This is done at your own risk.
Insurance
Sam’s Pampered Paws has public liability insurance and Employers liability insurance with Cliverton Insurance which includes key loss cover.
The customer accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their animal whilst in our care.
The customer is financially responsible for any vets fees or third party claims whilst their animal is in our care.
Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness or death of your animals whilst in our care.
Full insurance cover which is taken out by the owner for their pets is recommended. Sam’s Pampered Paws can refuse a booking for any uninsured dog.
Keys, Paperwork & GDPR
Household keys will be securely stored and a keyring attached. Please note that the keyring will not relate to anything to do with personal details.
Personal details and forms are kept in a safe, secure place away from your key. Only the Sam’s Pampered Paws team will have access to your details and keys for the sole purpose of carrying out the services agreed. No details will be passed on to any third party.
Should we fail to gain entry to your property due to keys being left on the inside of doors or failure to leave keys in a safe place for us to gain access then we will notify you. The service will still be charged for and it will be your responsibility to source other cover to your pets that day.
Personal data is processed in line with GDPR regulations. The information will not be shared with any other parties. For full GDPR policy information please contact us directly.

Vaccinations and Health
All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated or titre tested and on a regular flea and worm control regime.
Any dogs found to have fleas will not be denied transportation and will not be allowed to be taken on group walks until the issue is resolved.
Any health issues must be made apparent to Sam’s Pampered Paws including any medication as this could effect how we care for your animals during visits. Sam’s Pampered Paws can refuse the right to walk your dog.
We recommend that your dog receives the kennel cough vaccine.
We will not be held accountable for your dog contracting kennel cough or any other health issues, viruses and diseases following any services with us.
Should your dog show any signs of kennel cough or have a confirmed case you must notify us as we will not be able to transport your dog or allow them to mix with others. Due to kennel cough being highly contagious we will not be able to carry out services to your dog until your dog is free from symptoms. Those that usually go on group walks will need to have been free from symptoms for at least 14 days before being allowed back on walks.
Responsibilities’
The customer must provide all necessary equipment in order for services to be carried out. Sam’s Pampered Paws is not liable for any damage to equipment used during services, please ensure that all equipment is safe to use
Please ensure your pets are home at the arranged day & time frame (plus 30 minutes either side) in order that the agreed service can be carried out, should we arrive and the pets not be home then you will still be charged, Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot source further time to return again.
It is a Legal requirement for all dogs to wear an ID tag whilst out in public. Failure to leave equipment such as collar, ID tag or lead will result in failure of service or a garden let out when possible, you will still be charged for the original agreed service.
No dogs will be walked in pinch/prong collars or shock collars
Sam’s Pampered Paws will make effort to contact the customer in the event of emergency. A second contact name and number is recommended on your pet and owners detail form encase we cannot make contact with the owner. However Sam’s Pampered Paws reserves the right to make decisions regarding your animals health. In the best interests and welfare of your animals we may have to take them to the nearest vets, meaning this may not be your regular vets. The pet owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees.
Please contact your veterinary surgery to inform them that you give Sam’s Pampered Paws permission to take your animals in to them on your behalf and allow treatment to go ahead whilst in our care.
Sam’s Pampered Paws will make adequate actions to ensure that your home is safe and secure in your absence. Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot be held responsible for any accidents caused by your animals nor any house hold problems (i.e. leaks, breakages or alarm issues)
In homes where cat flaps/dog flaps are present along with indoor kept animals Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot be held liable for any injury, disappearance or death of any animal who gains access to the outdoors.
Dog Walking
All dogs being walked must be adequately trained and socialised
The customer is to make Sam’s Pampered Paws aware of any characteristic problems this includes behavioural or health problems. Antisocial behaviour including barking or signs of aggression.
Sam’s Pampered Paws is insured to walk up to six dogs per walk, please state on the owner and pet details form if your dog cannot be socialised or walked with others.
All dogs will be walked on lead on public land unless you sign to give permission for them to be let off. This is on the owner and pet details form. Should you agree to off lead walking Sam’s Pampered Paws will walk your dog on a lead until satisfied that recall is established. Dogs that are exercised at our enclosed field will be let off the lead unless you specify otherwise.
If your dog is not neutered/spayed Sam’s Pampered Paws will walk your dog on a lead unless we are exercising the dogs at our enclosed field.
Should your dog impregnate or is impregnated by other dogs whilst in our care then Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot be held responsible.
You must make Sam’s Pampered Paws aware when your bitch is in season as this may effect the services we can offer you during this time.
The walker has the right to use their own judgement to decide if services or a walk are cut short or substituted to a garden let out due to the weather circumstances (i.e. thunder storms or extreme temperatures) this is for the safety of both dog and walker. It is your responsibility to ensure the walker has access to the garden. The cost of the service will be charged as normal unless the customer changes the booking with more than 48 hours notice.
Best efforts are made to quickly towel off muddy paws, please state on the pet and owners details form where your dog towel is kept.
Sam’s Pampered Paws cannot guarantee that it will be the same member of the team visiting your pets each time, we aim to keep members of the team who visit your pets as consistent as possible but flexibility on this is required

Bank holidays and weekends
Please note that services on bank holidays and weekends are double the normal rate (unless the service is pet feeding in which case bank holidays are charged at the weekend rate) and are only carried out by specific arrangements.

Bookings, Cancellations & Holidays
Should Sam’s Pampered Paws need to cancel a service with less than 24 hours notice then a full refund will be given if payment has already been made.
You may cancel a booking however if you do this with less than 48 hours notice a charge of the full amount will incur.
Flexibility on bookings is required
A guaranteed time is not possible, we aim to be with you 30 minutes either side of your time frame.
Should you need to temporarily suspend our services (i.e. you’re off work or away on holiday) then for those with *regular bookings we can hold your space for you for two weeks of your usual days maximum, after this then a 50% retainer will be charged.
Payment
Invoices will be sent over to you at the end of each month, usually via email
Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date, failure to do so will result in your service being suspended
Payment is accepted via cash or bank transfer
As reference for bank transfers please put your pets name/s and month or date/s that you are paying for
Payment is due in advance of services for pet feeding and ad hoc services.
Photographs
Photographs of your pet may be taken from time to time and used for posts and advertising purposes on Sam’s Pampered Paws social media sites. Please note that Sam’s Pampered Paws will not put your dogs name with any photographs or any information that may give away any personal details. If you wish not to have photographs of your dog taken please say so in writing on this form.
